Edward Franco
Edward M. Franco

Senior Investigation Instructor

Edward Franco began his investigation career in 1981. He has successfully handled a wide range of assignments ranging from insurance and corporate investigations through to domestic and general cases. Mr. Franco has gone on to develop his client liaison experience and his management skills, and continues to direct investigation cases in the field. As an instructor, Mr. Franco combines his practical skills and experience with an ability to convey theoretical information in a concrete and effective manner, which has proven to be both insightful and enjoyable to his students.

Gordon B. Langille
Gordon B. Langille, B.A., Ll.B.
Legal Instructor and
Head of Legal Studies Department

In 1958, Mr. Langille graduated from Osgood Hall Law School and went into private practice concentrating on criminal defence law. In the following years, his practice advanced into civil law and natural resource law. He has appeared personally in the Supreme Court of Canada, numerous times in the Court of Appeal in Ontario and has conducted hundreds of trials -- jury and non-jury, in civil and criminal court. He has also appeared on important Royal Commissions in the natural resource sector. In 1992, Mr. Langille joined the staff of CSPI, and is currently Head of the Legal Studies department.

Janine Corona

Ms. Corona joined the Security Services of the RCMP in 1982, where she went on to specialize in the surveillance unit. In 1984, CSIS was formed to act as Canada's intelligence agency, and Ms. Corona was recruited to the new agency. She maintained an exemplary service record and had received consistently excellent reviews until she retired from the agency in 1989. Seeking an opportunity to supplement her previous experience and education, Ms. Corona enrolled with CSPI as a student in early 1994, where she went on to gradate with an exceptional academic standing. She joined the staff of CSPI in November of that year, and her ability to establish a solid rapport based on experience and trust have been quickly recognized and rewarded by the school's management and by her students.

Claudio Principe
Claudio Principe

Program Instructor

Mr. Principe's background and interests in the field of law enforcement led him to enroll as a student of CSPI. In 1991, Mr. Principe graduated from this program, and went on to gain field experience which included undercover investigation as well as an in-house position with one of Canada's leading retailing companies. Based on his practice, Mr. Principe applied to join the staff of CSPI and is currently instructing the Security Protection Officer program.
