| Years ago, a careers as a qualified private investigator or security professional
was a dream many people only imagined but were unable to achieve. The
reason was simple -- there was no institution where one could enrol to
learn the methods, systems and techniques of the professional private
investigator.
In 1980, the Canadian School of Private Investigation and Security Ltd.
(CSPI) was registered and approved as a private vocational school under
the Private Vocational Schools Act. CSPI pioneers a new direction for
the industry, and enjoys the distinction of being the first and foremost
serious academic institution in Canada devoted specifically towards training
individuals for careers within the private sector of law enforcement.

Our facilities have grown to occupy nearly 10,000 square feet of training,
administration and lab space. Our campus includes large comfortable classrooms,

An important ingredient in CSPI's success is the experience and expertise
of our instructors. The school's founder and principle instructor is a
former Police Detective with a background spanning five decades
of experience -- both in the public and private sectors. Our legal department
is headed by a senior lawyer and our academic staff is drawn from the
investigation, intelligence and security communities. In fact, all our
staff members provide their time and special skills towards ensuring the
highest level of competence and satisfaction possible for every graduate
of CSPI.
